The Independent have warned that if we leave the EU; we may be at risk of delayed detection of unsafe toys within the UK marketplace, due to the loss of the Safety Gate. So it’s more important than ever to ensure that your suppliers are chosen carefully, to avoid the risk of any unsafe toys.
Currency has been inflating for the past year now and it is important that a currency strategy is put in place to avoid changing rates in the future. There are ways in which we are preparing in the event that we do leave the EU later on this year, and with the likelihood of this still very uncertain, we are not taking any risks.
We want to reassure our European customers that we have already made careful preparations for Brexit, including establishing a new company in Sweden from which we could potentially invoice and even deliver goods from in the future at short notice. These plans ensure we can continue to deliver rapidly across Europe and at the same time maintain our competitive pricing for you, whatever the eventual outcome or terms of Brexit.
With no general election in sight and a no deal Brexit a looming possibility, we are eagerly awaiting to see what is in store next for the UK. Have you got any concerns or concerns about what Brexit may hold for you and your business? Let us know your thoughts on Twitter!
